Surgeons determine the position of diseased tissues, and then use the device to transect, resect the organs/tissues and anastomose and recreate the body cavity or lumen. For endoscopic surgery, the Powered Endoscopic Linear Cutting Stapler is used together with a trocar and a gastrointestinal endoscopy.
